this year, let your focus be on god (PSALM 121)

Let’s have our eyes on God no matter what happens this year. By shifting our focus from the distractions of the world, to trusting firmly in God, he will empower us (through his Holy Spirit) to do all things according to his will.

Psalm 121 reminds us of the importance of staying focused on God and the benefits that comes with relying on the all sufficient God to 'care for' and 'protect us'. So, as we take on the new year, let the words of Psalm 121 guide and strengthen you in all the things you do.

Psalm 121
I lift up my eyes to the mountains,
    where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
    the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip,
    he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you,
    the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
    nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm,
    he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
    both now and forevermore.
