E is for Eternity, in celebration of God's gift of salvation to us through Jesus Christ. In John 17:3, the bible says of God's gift to us, 'Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.' - John. 17:3, NIV - This is why Easter is so significant and why we celebrate it. It's a reminder of God's love, mercy and penultimate sacrifice for us, so that we can gain eternal life. In Romans 3:23, the Bible says, 'For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.' - Romans 3:23, NIV - Everyone of us have sinned and the Bible says in Romans 6:23 that, 'The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.' Romans 6:23 — New International Version (NIV) As we celebrate Easter sharing meals, food and gifts with loved ones, let's not forget to break bread in remembrance of Jesus who, Took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” -Luke 22:19 — New International Version (NIV) Jesus commanded us to commemorate his death and there is no better time than Easter to remember his crucifixion. That is, the point at which he gave his life for us so that we can live on eternally with God the Father. Happy Easter to those who have found Christ, to those who are seeking to know him and to those who are yet to gain salvation. This is the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ: "He died for our sins so that we don't have to die in sin, but to live to give God the glory." Stay blessed and keep on going!
